A hernia happens when an organ or fatty tissue squeezes through a weak spot in the abdominal muscles or connective tissue
Mostly all hernias need a surgical repair. Hernia is repaired both open and laparoscopically as per the size of the hernia. A mesh is used during a hernia repair.
Most common complications following a hernia repair are - surgical site infection, recurrence of hernia and seromas.
Regarding the approach of repair and complications the surgeon will discuss with you.
